![]() Location: The Underground Transit in Warden's Lab The shrine is found in the northwest corner near the western-most point of interest on the map and is reconsecrated by killing a wave of aetherials. This is one of the few shrines not located in a separate area and is, instead, out in the open in the Burrwitch Estates area. To repair this shrine you need to spend two aether crystals. Location: The Burial Cave in Burrwitch OutskirtsĪfter leaving the Flooded Passage and reaching Burrwitch Outskirts, this shrine is found inside the Burial Cave that has two entrances. The shrine is located at the north end by the exit and is reconsecrated by defeating a wave of aetherials. Near the bridge that leads to Wightmire proper is an underground passage. The shrine is near the northern entrance, and reconsecrating it requires defeating an easy wave of slith enemies. ![]() ![]() In the Foggy Bank area (while traveling north from Devil's Crossing to Burrwitch), you will come across a cavern with two entrances. Repair the shrine with an aether crystal (in Elite mode, you need 3 aether crystals instead).Īfter defeating Viloth The Corrupter (found by going underneath Devil's Crossing to the Aquifer) this shrine is found on the far east side of the map and is repaired using an aether crystal. After killing Kyzogg in the Burial Hill, head up the bottom, center path on the map to find the shrine at a dead end. This first shrine should be easy to spot, as its in an area with the first quest boss, Kyzogg The Reanimator. Some of these shrines are not available in the Elite or Ultimate difficulty settings, making those settings harder to defeat as you will have fewer devotion points to spend.īefore hunting down the shrines in the first and second acts, you may also want to take a gander at our complete class masteries guide to decide which dual class combination you want to try out in this dark action RPG! Grim Dawn Act 1 Shrines Shrine 1 Note that the list below assumes you are playing Grim Dawn on the normal difficulty setting. Now where to put all those extra devotion points.? Yes it is more realistic map design than D2 or PoE,but gameplay wise it just feels wrong imo. These shrines are typically restored in one of two ways: either by sacrificing rare items like aether stones, or by summoning a wave of enemies that must be defeated. But while playing the game I find myself thinking "let me get to the good part, fighting tons of monsters and shit" constantly, while trying to uncover the whole map of an area. Its sad, because I really love the combat and the depth this game offers. It takes ages to complete a playthrough, because areas just feel so bloated. The pacing just seems off, which was the same issue titan quest had. It feels like areas like "blood grove" or "gloomwald" are like 150% the size that they should be,so that it doesnt get frustrating running through it. On top of that the mob density is kinda low on some of the wider areas, which means you run around in a pretty empty area and try to cover as much ground as possible so that you dont miss anything important. Yes there are secret areas, but having to constantly go back and forth when entering an area that I dont know all the secrets yet is just frustrating. ![]() They are sooo open and unnecessarily convoluted in my opinion, that exploring them becomes such a chore. ![]() However after playing a lot of Diablo 2 over the last few years, I just get frustrated playing Grim Dawn when it comes to exploring the maps. After not playing Grim dawn for a few years and now coming back to it,to try out the expansions I noticed how much I dislike the map design of this game.įirst of all I have 300 hours in Titan Quest and 150 hours in grim dawn (without the expansions),so I can atleast say I am very familiar with those games. ![]()
